Event Description:
4 Sessions on Employee Engagement and Retention by 2 great speakers! Driving Results to the Bottom Line Through Employee Engagement - Employee engagement is key to the success of every business model. Companies with highly engaged employees tend to experience reduced absenteeism, improved employee retention, increased profits, elevated customer satisfaction and even higher safety scores. Sadly, a 2013 Gallup study found that 70% of American workers are “not engaged or actively disengaged from their workplaces.” In this session you will learn what drives employee engagement/disengagement, as well as practical management tactics you can use to increase engagement, productivity and organizational success. Leadership Development: The Most Needed Competencies for Today’s Workforce – Are you managing or leading your team? In this session we will explore the different types of leadership styles and learn what competencies are the most needed for leading today’s workforce. We will evaluate how to better communicate with current and potential stakeholders (better listening and emotional intelligent messaging), how to develop a more engaged relationship with current and potential stakeholders (social versus power influence), how to identify and better utilize power-brokers within targeted organizations, understand the stages and tactics associated with change, and how to effectively delegate. Rethinking Organizational Culture -- Because The Problem is Never The Problem (1.5 hours). Culture is more important that vision, mission statement, and strategy. Culture is more misunderstood than understood and is the single most powerful factor in any organization. In this session we will cover the definition, messages, and values of culture and how culture is communicated through behaviors, symbols, and systems. Also covered is what constitutes healthy and unhealthy cultures and the three kinds of people required for a healthy culture. Encouragement, Employee Engagement, and Teamwork -- The Ultimate Competitive Advantage (2 hours). The best leaders are always on the lookout for opportunities to help people in their organization grow. In this session we will cover the keys to encourage engagement, growth in people, and the 10 questions that must be answered in order to set up an engaging team environment. Also covered are the eight questions for people that want to develop people.
