Event Description:
AMARILLO, TX – The Crouch Foundation is excited to announce the opening of Arts in the Sunset newest gallery – The Featured Fine Art Gallery – dedicated to exhibiting local, regional and national fine art. Ron Campbell, one of the animators of the Beatles film Yellow Submarine and director of the 1960s Saturday Morning Beatles Cartoon series will make a rare public appearance at a Preview Party at the Garden Event Center on the evening of Monday, January 28. Anderson, Fleischer & Key will perform a Tribute to the Beatles, heavy appetizers and two drink tickets will be provided and one lucky winner will go home with an original piece of Ron Campbell artwork. Campbell, the director of the 1960’s Saturday Morning Beatles Cartoon series and one of the animators of the Beatles film Yellow Submarine, will also make a rare personal appearance in Amarillo for the opening on Tuesday, January 29th and Wednesday, January 30th. The legendary animator will be exhibiting Beatles cartoon pop artwork as well as other beloved cartoon characters that encompass his 50-year career in Children’s Television such as Scooby Doo, the Smurfs, Rugrats, Winnie the Pooh, Flintstones, Jetsons, Yogi Bear & more.
