Duties:Amarillo Pathology Group is seeking a full-time Secretary/Transcriptionist to join our highly trained team. Amarillo Pathology Group provides leading edge anatomic and clinical pathology services throughout the Texas Panhandle medical communities. The physicians of Amarillo Pathology Group have been serving the hospital and patients of Amarillo and our surrounding region since 1983. Our mission is to provide our customers with accurate, timely diagnostic support and unparalleled customer service. This position requires confidentiality, flexibility and ability to present a professional image at all times. Must be able to communicate well with internal and external customers, provide support as a team player, and perform general office duties. Proper phone etiquette and ability to screen calls and take messages with professional communication skills are essential. Work requires familiarity with procedures and policies relating to all aspects of medical records and transcription. The candidate must transcribe medical dictation with accuracy of at least 60 wpm. This individual needs to be able to multitask and maintain office records with exceptional organizational skills and needs to be familiar with office machines and software(Microsoft Office).
