The Community Partnerships Specialist is responsible for providing and implementing quality programming to girl members in economically disadvantaged assigned areas. She/he will focus primarily on mentoring, developing and delivering resources and maintaining partnerships to assist with the girls programming in the school, community and with the product program. She/he will assist in promoting Girl Scouting values while incorporating the principles of girl led experiential and cooperative learning, and programs which are aligned with, and results in Girl Scout leadership outcomes.
Duties:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field. * Bilingual (Spanish) bicultural, preferred but not required. * Commitment to the mission and purpose of Girl Scouting. * Membership in Girl Scout organization. * Must be willing to work with all persons without regard to race, religion, ethnic origin, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, or disability. * Experience in planning, scheduling and implementing programs for youth and experience with volunteer management, program evaluation/outcome measures and or community organizing. * Proven ability to work with volunteers, community leaders, organizations, and businesses. * Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and produce results. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including travel, nights and weekends. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Verbal fluency, good grammar and professional appearance. * Have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state where employee works/resides, an acceptable driving record, acceptable insurance, and reliable transportation * Must complete and pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
