The Girl Experience Specialist - Outdoor is responsible for planning, promoting, delivering, and evaluating, educational outdoor programs that utilize the Girl Scout outdoor badge curriculum and other aspects of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. The Girl Experience Specialist - Outdoor will partner with Girl Scout troops and Service Units to drive increased utilization of Girl Scout outdoor properties during the non-summer months. The Girl Experience Specialist - Outdoor is a contributing member of the Girl Experience Team and strives to provide safe, quality programs for all Girl Scout participants. The Girl Experience Specialist - Outdoor will be assigned to work out of the Lubbock or Amarillo office and will be expected to travel between the two council offices as needed. Girl Experience Specialist - Outdoor will work with both council camps in the Amarillo and Lubbock areas and collaboratively with their peers at other Girl Scout properties and offices to ensure the development and delivery of consistent, high quality outdoor experiences for all members of the Girl Scout movement. The priorities also aim to include diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access in the analysis to ensure delivery of the best quality Girl Scout leadership experience for girls. The Girl Experience Specialist - Outdoor consistently exercises discretion and makes judgments with guidance from the Girl Experience Manager. This job is not routine, clerical, or administrative in nature.
Duties:
* Experience with camping and outdoor education. * Commitment to the mission and purpose of Girl Scouting. * Membership in Girl Scout organization. * Must be willing to work with all persons without regard to race, religion, ethnic origin, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, or disability. * Proven ability to work with volunteers, community leaders, organizations, and businesses. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including travel, nights, and weekends.
