The West Texas Ranch Rodeo is a Cowboy Extravaganza! showcasing the best in working cowboy skills. The event also includes a fantastic vendor show, The World Championship Blacksmiths Competition, Collegiate/FFA/4-H Horse Judging and a National Anthem contest. This is a WRCA Sanctioned Ranch Rodeo and Youth Ranch Rodeo. Fourteen Ranch Teams and twelve Youth Teams will compete for an invitation to the World Championships held in Amarillo in November. This event focuses on the development of youth skills and confidence. Starting with our Young Farm & Ranch Hands at play vendors to our youth ranch rodeo, the National Anthem contest for 3rd-12th graders and our collegiate horse judging. We support and promote youth in our Western Heritage.
There are two performances of the ranch rodeo (Friday and Saturday night, 7pm) and the youth ranch rodeo is at 1:30pm on Saturday. Saturday also includes a youth concert in the dirt just after the youth rodeo, then a Ranch Rodeo Fashion show by the Red Boot Affair!
The World Championship Blacksmiths Competition has 90 farriers from around the world competing for 4 days, showcasing the finest in blacksmithing skills and raising the bar for farrier work across the country. This is a must-see event, and it’s free.
All events are free up to the Ranch Rodeo performances on Friday and Saturday. Rodeo Tickets are $20 (Friday) and $25 (Saturday); Kids 12 and under are always FREE.
There is something for everyone at the West Texas Ranch Rodeo! We’ll see y’all there.
