Event Description:
The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program Applications being accepted soon for the Amarillo and Canyon areas (Serving Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Carson Oldham counties) Last year the community teamed up with The Salvation Army to provide 2,343 gifts for our Angel Tree Program. Angel Tree is an emergency holiday assistance program that we provide annually to those in need ranging from infants to children age 18. At The Salvation Army we believe everyone deserves a little Christmas. It is now that time of year again and Christmas is right around the corner. The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program (“Angel Tree”) is underway and will begin taking applications for the following dates: Application Dates: October 24 - 28, 2016 November 7 - 11, 2016 Days/Times: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 11:30am Monday & Thursday 6:00pm - 8:00pm Where: The Salvation Army Chapel 2101 S. Van Buren (Corner of Van Buren & 21st) Please Bring The Following Verifications To Qualify: Valid Pictured I.D. Social Security Card or Government I.D. for all household members Birth certificate for all children 18 and under (if child is not a U.S. citizen also proof of school enrollment); Proof of school enrollment for children 15 to 18 If you are not parent of child have proof of custody papers for child/children; Proof of all monthly bills Proof of income for all household members (including SNAP/TANF) If you know of any people needing assistance this Christmas holiday, please forward the information to them.
