Event Description:
National nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) announced today that Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas has once again joined with the Amarillo Tigershark Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol in the effort to support the mission to Remember, Honor, Teach, as an official location for 2019. This is the 13th year that Llano Cemetery will be participating in this national event, which pays tribute to our nation’s fallen veterans. Llano Cemetery is the only location in Amarillo to participate in this event. This year, National Wreaths Across America Day begins at 11:00am, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Field of Valor in Llano Cemetery East. A brief remembrance service will be held, followed by volunteers placing wreaths on the gravesites of Veterans. It is always a free event and open to all people. Please come to Llano Cemetery and join with us to help place wreaths and honor our nation’s fallen heroes. Directions:
The Remembrance Ceremony and wreath laying will take place in the Field of Valor, Llano East. Off 34th or 27th Street take Arthur to the gates of Llano East.
