Event Description: The Small-Fry Fishing Tournament is an annual event which promotes the sport of fishing while encouraging good clean family fun. There is no entrance fee, and youth of all income levels are invited to participate. Age groups will be from 6 years through 14 years, with prizes awarded in three age categories. An adult must accompany the participant(s). Schedule of events: 8:00-9:00 Registration, 9:00-11:00 Tournament, 11:00-12:30 Hot Dog Lunch, 12:30-2:00 Awards and Door Prizes.


Directions:
The tournament will be held at the Stilling Basin at Spring Canyon, located in Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. Take highway 136 north from Amarillo towards Borger and Fritch. After passing through Fritch, turn left on road 687 to Sanford. Turn left at the four-way-stop in Sanford. At the beginning of the Sanford Dam, just across from the entrance to the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority, turn right and head down to Spring Canyon. Park in any available space in the parking lots, and go to the registration table to sign up. While there is no entry fee, only those who have registered may participate.
