Job Description:
Work in partnership with Fund Development Lead (FDL) to generate fundraising opportunities for the council in Lubbock, Amarillo, and surrounding areas. Manage individual, civic, United Way, corporate and foundation donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for funding general operating, program, and capital needs, as assigned by FDL. The Fund Development Coordinator will engage in and be responsible for all aspects of the donor development cycle including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgment, partnership, and stewardship. Work in conjunction with the Grant Writer and the Research and Evaluation Coordinator to ensure deadlines are met for area grant solicitations, reports, and stewardship opportunities. Serve as lead United Way contact for assigned areas, working with the contract grants team (Mission Allies) for completion of applications and reports as assigned. Responsible for leading area appeal campaigns and formalizing and growing GSTOPs planned giving program. In partnership with a volunteer team, plan and produce annual fundraising events, including but not limited to sponsorships, ticket sales, budgets, timelines, logistics, volunteers, and public relations of events. Work with the Database Administrator to ensure timely gift processing, as well as, updating and maintaining donor records in the donor database (Donor Perfect). Serve as the lead staff for the Girl Scouts Alumni Association (Amarillo and Lubbock) as well as the lead for the Young Professionals group in assigned areas to keep members engaged in mission related activities. Serve as the local representative, in conjunction with the GSTOP communications team, for TV/Radio and other marketing/public relations opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GSTOP major programmatic initiatives. Uphold the Donor Bill of Rights and respect the confidentiality of donors, members, alumnae and staff. Ensure diversity and pluralism are embraced and incorporated into the work of GSTOP and uphold the Girl Scout Law. Keep up with trends and changes. Keep informed of federal, state, and local laws governing Texas and Oklahoma. Travel is required between Lubbock and Amarillo with some overnight stays as well. May travel to other GSTOP service areas and corporate office as needed. Some nights and weekend work required. Perform other duties as assigned by Fund Development Lead.
Experience Required:
2-3 years in nonprofit work preferred
